Today, World Food Day is celebrated worldwide. African Programme for Economic and Social Development’s Executive Director took this opportunity to launch the First Food Bank from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, that will contribute to eradicate hunger.
Knowing that everybody has rights to eat a good quality and enough quantity of meal, PADES’ Executive Director has expressed his concern as several million of people are suffering with hunger.
For the rigths to food to become more effective in Africa and to ensure that by 2020 no African children would go to bed with hunger, PADES’ Executive Director has launched today the First Food Bank of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The Food Bank Programme will contribute to figth hunger and poverty in Kinshasa and in conflict affected provinces within Eastern Congo.
The Executive Director invitess all Good will people or institution, Business men or women, Mining Companies, Beverage companies, Telecomunication Corporates, Hotels, Restaurants, Super Markets, Stores, Banks, Agrobusiness Companies, Church, National and International Organisations or Fondations, etc.; to join him support this initiatives so that the Food Bank of DRC became effective.
Final recipients of all donations are street children, children from poor families, orphanages and any civil servant in need.
